Saturday, Feb 4th, 9:00A – 2:00P – Winter
Yard Sale - This is one of the few chances you may get in the dead of
winter to remind you of the warmer day to come. The FEC Winter Yard Sale. Since it is held
indoors, it will run rain or shine, cold or really cold. FEC
yard sales always have little curiosities and treasure among the items that
other people have lost their use for. Sometimes, but not always, they feature
food and drink. This is one of those special times so you won’t want to
miss it! If, in addition to your interest in great bargains, you also have
items to donate, please feel free to drop off such items at the chapel anytime
during the week of January 29th. If you need help in getting larger
items to the chapel please contact the Vicar
for assistance.
Sunday, Feb 19th, Dixieland
Sunday - The Saints will be marching we hope you can join them. Dixieland
Jazz is that exciting brass band sound of New Orleans. This wonderful music has
its origins in our Black American history. The slaves
in the southern United States were allowed to be Christians and brought to
Christian music all the harmonic richness, and the complex syncopated rhythms
of their African culture. Although the words seem simple, the text of the Black
American Spiritual song has a depth of symbolic meaning. These songs capture
the very essence of joyful Christianity, the happiness secured in the next
dimension of life, and pass on to us the vibrant and loving spirit of God.Faith Episcopal Church in Merrimack happily invites
everyone to come experience real, live Dixieland music and participate in some
serious celebration prior to the beginning of the Lenten season. Faith
Episcopal Church is located at 590 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, NHjust north of Shaw’s Supermarket.
