Organization of the Mission

Faith Episcopal Church was incorporated as a mission of the Diocese of New Hampshire in 1977 and is organized according to the doctrine, discipline and worship of the Episcopal Church, under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of New Hampshire. Any person of the age of 15 years, having signified a desire to join the congregation, having participated in public worship, and having made a material offering for the sustenance of the Church, is entitled to vote at corporate meetings. The congregation uses Wheeler Chapel, which was given in trust to the town of Merrimack in 1889, and which is cared for by the Trustees of Wheeler Chapel. General oversight of the various dimensions of the Church's life is provided by the Bishop's Committee (Vestry), with specialized standing commissions and other committees overseeing their own areas.
